KARI RIEGER (Extras Casting Director)
Kari Rieger is an experienced Extras Casting Director with over 25 years in the film and television industry. Like many in the business, Kari originally pursued acting and got her start as an extra in Inertia. Through those early experiences, she built connections within the local film community and worked as a production assistant before moving into casting. After spending two years as a casting assistant with a local casting director, Kari founded Kari Casting, which has since become a well-established extras casting team in Manitoba’s film and television industry.
LEAH ERUM (Extras Casting Assistant)
Leah Erum began her career in Manitoba’s film industry as a background performer on local productions, where she quickly developed a strong interest in working behind the scenes. This led her to transition into casting and coordination, where she found her place supporting productions on the administrative and organizational side of the industry.
Since 2004, Leah has worked alongside Kari Rieger in extras casting on over 100 productions, including television series, feature films, movies of the week, and commercial projects. She has extensive experience coordinating background performers across a wide range of productions and filming environments.
Together, Kari Rieger and Leah Erum are dedicated to supporting and representing Manitoba’s growing film industry. Through their work in background casting, they strive to provide reliable, professional service to productions while showcasing the depth of talent within the local community.
